Not bad - interesting ideas, interesting viewpoint, but wouldn't read again.

The original TED talk on - How to be motivated, calm, realize your goals yada yada yada.

Much of Epictetus stoic principles are expansion on Aurelius' Meditation. However Epictetus who was once a slave, further humanizes this philosophy by bringing in the concept of autonomy and rational responses to extreme external human emotions.

PS: The way stoics talk about control is most intriguing, personally.
