I really loved a lot of things about this book - ideas, images, mythology - but it never totally cohered for me the way I wanted it to. It’s really good though.
What an interesting read! A different style and flow than most other books I've read. I never really cared much about any of the characters, which made it a bit harder to get into. The flow between the different narratives was really well laid out and added a lot to the overall story.

I love how everything feels connected in this story. It's got a lot of heavy emotion in it, but it's goooood.
I really liked the creativity put into this book. Kinda felt trippy especially with my favorite part being the darkening land. Reminded me of the upside down in stranger things. I especially liked the cultural significance. I feel like some things definitely felt unresolved and sometimes not fully explained, but the vagueness also helped open my own creativity while reading.
