Interesting book, I liked the mix of real and myth. The characters are complex and there are some twists that reveal themselves in good ways. The exploration of different kinds of grief was really well done. Not 100% sure I liked the vagueness of the story though, or if I feel like it’s worth the read. Not bad, not great
I really wanted to like this book — but I just couldn’t get myself into it. I had a hard time following what was happening and felt the book jumped too much into each persons life without connecting.

Normally, books with each chapter being from a different character's perspective are not my favorite. However, given that each family member continues to have their own struggles with grief over the death, at the hands of the police, of their brother/son 15 years earlier, the isolation of each is represented beautifully by this storytelling structure.

Powerful multi-POV story of a family in the aftermath of the murder of their son/brother. Recommend!
