sweet little book that really shows how depression and anxiety manifest so easily after social interactions. i also get severe anxiety and depression after talking to people and i felt very seen after reading this book.
even if it seems scary and pointless, letting people into your life will make things better. don't be afraid to take that leap to making genuine human connections. it is the one thing that will save you from the grasp of mental illnesses. give people a chance and they might just surprise you.
very short read but i enjoyed it. perfect for cozy evenings while you're drinking your coffee or tea.

This one was still okay. It talks about being socially awkward and not connecting with people easily and feeling like you are being replaced and opening up and speaking up when things get too much. SG meets a new person that responds to his poster about finding similar people. Rue- but Socks feels left out because SG and Rue connect really fast and seemingly forget Socks. Socks has a depressive episode - and SG doesn't really bother checking on them despite claiming that they are good friends... until Rue has a similar episode and SG gets really worried so they go to Socks and ask them to help them figure out what is going on with Rue. Socks can relate and they talk to Rue, Rue is back to being their friend and promises that they will open up more instead of letting things pile on and the book ends. Which was really odd considering the connection they forged with Socks in book one but in this one they just don't really care about them that much. And they also seemingly changed their personality a lot.

Sweet and deep. The care and empathy oozes out of this one. I love the comics and the expanded books.
