what I love most of about this graphic novel series is the very accurate anxiety representation. Anyone who experiences anxiety will be able to understand and relate to the members of ‘The Sad Ghost Club’.

Each of them share their feelings of how overwhelming day to day life can be. But the topic that had light shed on it the most in this GN was the feeling of being unneeded by your friends—especially when they find new friends, as if now they no longer need you. I think we all can relate to that feeling a bit.

Also, I love the idea of these sad ghosts coming together to form a safe space. It highlights just how much safe places are needed for people who struggle with the feeling of loneliness and anxiety.

I really enjoyed this expansion of the sad ghosts club! I thought the themes discussed in this book were very well handled. I felt it could have benefited from more discussions in certain areas but overall it was well thought out and an enjoyable read.

I related to Socks so hard in this one with their worries over making new friends and struggling to navigate when your friends make new friends and feeling like you are no longer needed. I think I thought that it was always jealousy I was feeling but when Socks explained how they were feeling to SG it described my situation perfectly. Also page 162 is me down to a tee 😭.

I also found that this books use of open communication was great. Although I felt frustrated with SG at times for not being more considerate of Socks, I think the book did well at showing that open communication was necessary from both sides to avoid misunderstanding and miscommunication.

I like the new character Rue, they seemed very lovely and I would be interested in learning more about them hopefully in the next volume :)
