Don't sleep on this one, y'all! Combining the audiobook with the physical text is highly recommended.

Listened to this as an audiobook in two separate sittings.

I loved it and felt all the words she spoke. Some parts were sad and tense and others you felt strong.

I think it's best to listen to the author narrate this instead of reading it.

Would recommend for anyone who likes free form poetry that flows well.

Hands down the best poetry book I read this year. We need to get this book in the hands of our black queer youth. Their voices are important just as Roya demonstrates. Goodreads you spelled it wrong. It's gasliGht.

This is one of my favorite poetry books I've read in recent memory (which is saying something, there's so much good poetry). The structure, reverence, honesty, care, rhythm and syntax, and vibrant language of these poems is physical and heart-stopping. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
