I liked this better than the first. It just felt like it went on forever and whenever I was reading it just didn't feel like I was making progress. It was more exciting to me than the first, I liked the characters and the storyline and the ending. The finale wasn't rushed in my opinion so that was nice since the buildup was so huge.

The depth of these characters is my favorite part. They are so incredibly written, with so many layers about them. I just love all of them so much. If you're looking for a book that will make you - ache, laugh, cry, scream, and get horny all wrapped in a singular book, this one is for you!

An improvement from the last book. There was more depth to the plot and storyline. Felt that the first 40% was too long and took most of the book. Things started to get interesting the last 30%. Loved reading Colton’s pov in this book!

I loved September Doves, but Summer Sparrow was just absolutely amazing! The twist and turns I never saw coming. I was on the edge of my seat! At one point, I was actually pacing while I was reading! This is a big book, but don't let that scare you because you will not want to put it down! This had emotion, loyalty, character growth, suspense, and, of course, the love story. It had it all!
Colton and Rylee definitely had a lot to overcome to be together, but they were soulmates! I loved Rylee's strength. She wasn't afraid to do whatever she needed to do to keep the Jackals safe. She was loyal and loved hard. Colton just wanted Rylee safe, and in doing so, he had to break both his and Rylee's hearts. The journey back to each other was incredible. Emmerson, your writing is absolutely beautiful! I am so sad to let this duet go, but I can't wait to see what you do next!
