My step dad randomly gave me this book and told me to read it. I had never read a Mary Higgins Clark book before but I really enjoyed it. It had a lot of suspense and I liked how the whole book took place in one night. I'm assuming most of Mary Higgins Clark's books are like this so I would like to read some more and I would recommend this to anyone who likes suspense. Great choice for my first Mary Higgins Clark book.

I've brought this book out every Christmas for years and finally it got its chance to be read. I used to love a good tear jerker set at Christmas but the last few years I've been turned off by most of them. The stories all seem a little too cookie cutter. So I was looking for something that was different. This story really isn't any different and it did make me cry but it did touch me and gave me the feeling of generosity and good over evil. I do enjoy MHC crime/mysteries and this book will stay in my pile of Christmas book for others to read.

Scénario simple mais qui fait le taffe, du suspense comme il en faut et un livre qui se lit bien

Same ol' MHC. This book was rather predictable, per usual. There was a lot more religious underpinning than usual, and she wants to be really sure- I mean REALLY sure- we all know that Saint Christopher had been de-sainted.

Silent Night by Mary Higgins Clark
Love Christmas tales and this will be my first book by this author.
The family is in the city for an emergency surgery for their father and the mother drops her wallet. Those who find it have plans on how to spend the money.
A St. Christopher medal that had saved the grandfather's live during the war. The young child follows the woman who has taken the wallet....
Story also follows others, and we learn about how they play a part in all this. What I liked about this story is it's the holidays and people relatively have good thoughts to one another.
The plot doesn't follow the usual predicted line where you know what's gonna happen. Lots of twists and I like how the detectives help with the clues they have and those of ones they learn about. Really liked this book and will find others of the author to read.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

I think I might enjoy this another year, it just wasn’t the right time in my life for a tense Christmas read.

A good holiday, mild suspense novel.

I was hoping this would be a slightly different Christmas read, but I was disappointed. The characters were very flat, and I felt no suspense, or emotion. I don't think this author is for me.
