I just couldn’t stay interested. I liked the first book & really tried with this one but have been in a slump lately so it could be partly me.
I can’t wait wait for book 3
Once again this book kept me on my toes. I never saw any of this coming and I’m speechless. Super excited for the final book.

Things actually happened in this one, so it was a step up from the first. With a continuing great cast.
Definitely not challenging to read this series. I wish the story had been consolidated down to one volume instead of three. Each of the books has abruptly ended. Onward to the conclusion!
I loved this and couldn’t put it down, binge reading it late into the night. While I also loved the first book, the characters felt so much more developed in this sequel. I loved the world created here and can’t wait to see how it all ends.

Book 2 pivots nicely from "in space" to "on planet" and introducing the denizens of the planet called Eden by the bad guys. Looking forward to the final installment.

There was so much about this book that I didn't remember, or that bled into my memory of [b:Nyxia Uprising|35424766|Nyxia Uprising (The Nyxia Triad, #3)|Scott Reintgen|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1531317687l/35424766._SY75_.jpg|56800774] because I read them so close together. And I'm expecting that'll happen again since I'm reading them in quick succession now too.
I'm not going to write too much now, because I still want to be surprised by everything on subsequent rereads. But I will say that so many of the characters impressed me in this one. I loved the way things turned around for the characters, and the way they became a family and rallied around the issues together. I don't think I felt this way the last time, but Anton has definitely become a top favorite character. I love the way he's able to think on the fly. Then there's Morning, Longwei, and Jamie. Getting to know them in this volume and the way Magnia and the Genesis family and experience changed them was fascinating.
I'm so happy [b:Nyxia Unleashed|35424762|Nyxia Unleashed (The Nyxia Triad, #2)|Scott Reintgen|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1512398396l/35424762._SX50_.jpg|56800765] doesn't suffer from middle book syndrome the way a lot of the books I've been reading recently do. Definitely a favorite. I also loved the audio in this one and the authentic representation in narrators, rather than just a single narrator. That matters so much with the diversity in this book, and I'm really excited for full cast narration that includes different narrators for Morning and Longwei in their POVs as well in the next one, with authentic voice actors.

Oh my god, what a trip!
I loved this book so much. [a:Scott Reintgen|14593331|Scott Reintgen|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1455963722p2/14593331.jpg] gives us so much more diversity even than in the first book, and we learn a lot more about every character and their backgrounds. Then, of course, there's all the new characters.
I know Kit was just a pawn, but I really didn't like him. I was surprised by the Magnia society and the Imago. I don't actually believe there is an alien race that behaves exactly like us, with the same jobs and social structures, although anything is possible, and I definitely believe in aliens. But the way [a:Scott Reintgen|14593331|Scott Reintgen|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1455963722p2/14593331.jpg] crafts this world to be similar to ours, yet just different enough, is amazing.
I liked the character development in this book even more than in [b:Nyxia|27426044|Nyxia (The Nyxia Triad, #1)|Scott Reintgen|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1485432778l/27426044._SY75_.jpg|47477446]. I love that the Genesis crews learn to see each other as a family, and they know who the true enemy is from the beginning, and it's not each other. I love that we get another character's perspective as well. I never gave Anton a second thought in the first book, but his and Morning's plan gives a very welcome other story that slides in easily alongside Emmett's.
Anton was one of the many plot twists in the story, and I love a book where I have no idea what happens next. I found myself covering the end of chapters with my other hand so as to force myself not to read ahead and spoil the twist that I knew was coming at the end of the chapter.
To [a:Scott Reintgen|14593331|Scott Reintgen|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1455963722p2/14593331.jpg], because I know you do read reviews sometimes (thank you for reading my first one the first time I read [b:Nyxia|27426044|Nyxia (The Nyxia Triad, #1)|Scott Reintgen|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1485432778l/27426044._SY75_.jpg|47477446], it means a lot to me): I love this series so much! It's the first time since the Percy Jackson series that I've had to put a series down while it was still being written and pick it up again when all the books were published simply because the waiting was torture. I've taken concepts like the Nyxian language converters and the idea of a diverse cast and tweaked them a little while writing my story, and rereading the series while I'm writing a key part of my novel is really inspirational for me. I don't know of any other authors who I automatically think of when I try to write my own stories, although to be fair I haven't tried my hand at straight-up fiction at all in the last ten years (except for fanfiction), and even when I was younger I don't think I ever attempted science fiction. But your writing is truly an inspiration for me, and the Nyxia series only serves to make me hungry for more of it.
Thank you so much. I might even end up buying a copy, because I know this whole series is something I want to reread again and again. I haven't felt this way about many series, not since I finished Harry Potter almost twelve years ago. The Nyxia Triad changes that for me.

Great continuation, with just enough info at the beginning to help me remember events of the first book w/o a boring rehash. Impressive world-building, continued interesting character development, and lots of action that is realistically heartbreaking. Looking forward to the third and even more looking forward to Scott's visit to our school in October! The kids and I are so excited!
