Short books are very hard to get right. But this is so much fun and it moves fast and doesn't feel like it is lacking for its length.

This is a reread for me, I wanted something easy and thought I would go back to it, knowing I had enjoyed it but forgetting just how much.

Reverend Shackleford just makes me laugh every time.

An amusing and light hearted regency romance.

Surprisingly, quite good, 3.5 stars. This book wrote concisely in a very pleasant way, and had a nice romance plot. Although, I did feel as though the words of "love" were uttered between the fmc and mmc too soon, I was a short enough book that I understood why.

This was supposed to witty and fun. Not witty at all. And the male narrator was TERRIBLE!! Why does every sentence end with the word drawn out dramatically? The only reason I got through it is because it was so short and I increased the speed.

I devoured this audiobook in two days. I would call this a historical rom-com and it is my first. It was an easy, quick read that I throughly enjoyed. The dual narration was excellent too. Highly recommend.

You all can take my sense of whimsy out of my cold dead hands: Nicholas and Grace were good lead characters and the bumbling father character brought a fun levity that I really enjoyed. Was it revolutionary? No. Was it a more complex miscommunication trope rooted in the exact weaknesses of the characters in a more interesting way than most romance novels? Absolutely.  I enjoyed this immensely and can’t wait to read the next one which I hope will have just as much personality!
