There was a little heartbreak once or twice which is the only reason I read any romance. Wish Stella and Reid’s relationship was a little more soul crushing in the beginning. Also wish we had just one or two chapters of Reid’s POV but over all I would recommend.
Kate Stewart pretty cool tho.

Goddamn, Kate Stewart can write a book. She always has everything I need; beautiful writing, a tension filled romance, and a broken heart she’s sure to put back together. I’m always blown away when I read her books.
She had a way of writing Stella that was incredibly close to home for me. Stella is obsessed with music and how it relates to people, but she can’t master any instruments. So instead of trying to learn to play, she wants to become a music journalist. I also feel a deep connection to music that’s really hard to describe. The right song can give me such a hit of dopamine I play it for hours on end. That was so relatable to me. I also usually don’t vibe with Love Triangle romances, but I didn’t hate this one at all.
Reid is everything I love in an MMC. He’s complex, he’s angry, he’s misunderstood, but he’s also DOWN BAD for his lady. And I will eat that up and leave no crumbs. In the end, Stella chose the right man!
Stella is moving to Austin to pursue her dream of becoming a music journalist. There, she meets a drummer with a broken arm and a grumpy demeanor. At first she doesn’t think much about him, but as they get closer she realizes there is a connection there that she’s never had with anyone else. Reid ends up having to leave, breaking Stella’s heart and after she meets Nate and he helps her put it all back together. Only thing is, Reid is back and he’s dead set on making Stella his one and for all.
