I really enjoyed this. I found it suspenseful, the voice actors were excellent. Even the famous ones who had voices that I should have found distracting were fantastic at losing themselves in the character.
I'd love to hear/ read more in this world.

This was a highly entertaining full-cast, audio production of a post-apocalyptic/sun-less world brimming with vampires. I usually only listen to audiobooks, but mostly ones with a single narrator. I enjoyed this full-cast production with sound effects and music.

I downloaded this as it was offered for free on audible, and I figured I'd give it a try. It was certainly different than a normal book, in the fact that it was more like the radio shows of days of old, with a cast of characters playing out a story. The very beginning of the story (show?) made me think of what it might have been like to those who stumbled upon the original War of the Worlds broadcast back in the day - with the caveat that I knew what I was listening to wasn't real.
The story in and of itself it's really my cuppa - vampires and all - but it was interesting none the less. I could have done with less fighting scenes as they just kind of play out as clattering and grunts with the listener having no idea what's happening in the fight or who won until someone says something about it after the fight is done. I thought it was an interesting story with likable enough characters.
I struggled with where to put my rating, but I often have to remind myself that though we fear lower star ratings, a 3 actually means you liked the story, and I did. It didn't change my life, and you probably wont catch me ranting to my husband about how great it was, but it was entertaining, and isn't that all you can really ask for?.
