I'm new to the audiobook world and this was the first audiobook of this kind that I listened to and I thought it was fun. All the dialogue kept it engaging and the bit of sound effects made it exciting. I did think some of the heavy breathing and other mouth sounds were kind of annoying at times and there were times when I couldn't really tell what was happening without having any narrations . The story felt pretty simple and predictable.

Phenomenal.

The dramatization is a thrill to listen to. Literally got goosebumps when the creatures showed up, the sounds of their sniffing and snarling as they hunted for our heroes.

It ends with the possibility for a sequel, and I desperately hope one is in production.

It was entertaining, but the gore noises were a bit over the top, and its a little harder to follow the story when its mostly dialogue and less narration

This was fun! It's more like a radio drama than an audiobook, and I kind of loved that. Sometimes the sound mix felt really off, and at times it was hard to hear the dialog over the sound effects. It's not the most original vampire apocalypse story, but it was still super entertaining.

Although I can understand the complaints that some seem to have about the format of this story being an audiobook vs a tv series… I have to admit that I was completely enthralled with the story!

I will admit it did take me a little while to get used to the voices of each character and become aware of who was speaking immediately but after that adjustment I was able to just close my eyes and use my imagination to fill in anything I couldn’t physically see.

I do wish there was a little bit more character development as some of their motivations just seemed lacking, but that is usually my complaint as I am one of those people always looking for MORE!

I do really hope we get a second instalment of this story soon! As I feel like there is definitely enough there to keep the story going for a little while!

All in all I found this a really enjoyable listen, I liked the sound effects and the use of them to create additional suspense. It was something interesting and short for me to entertain myself between reads!

If you like post apocalyptic vampires and moral dilemmas then you will probably enjoy this! Plus it’s free and included in your audible until December 2099….so you may as well just download it

This started out ok - kind of similar to The Passage. Then things took a turn for the cheesy, and well...let's just say it wasn't my cup of tea.
