A great memoir! Love Trevor from the daily show and thoroughly enjoyed this book. Learned a lot about apartheid too.

Loved the story and learning about life growing up in South Africa, but it was scattered and somewhat repetitive. Would have benefited from a strong editor.

Trevor Noah knows how to tell a story. He is able to paint a clear picture for a life that is drastically different than mine, but still connect on a human level that all can relate to. He is able to find humor through hard events as well as show fierce love for those in his life. I highly recommend listening to the audio of this book - as it Noah reads it himself, which is a real treat.

Fantastic from start to finish. Glad I waited until I came back from Africa (unintentionally) to read this because I enjoyed being a little more familiar with the setting. Emotional rollercoaster in all the best ways.
