Interesting, but not well told. It feels very much like some of the worse Sherlock Holmes stories, in that the answer was not earned. It just... happened.

I really like the series and I loved this short story. It was a free download from Kat Richardson's website. I love the way Harper interacts with the ghosts in the Grey. Harper gets "hired" by a ghost who says that "they killed me". He seems to be stuck in a loop and she can't really get anymore information out of him. She does get his name and finds out that he had died two years ago from cancer. Or so everybody thought. After speaking to the doctor and a nurse at the hospital, Harper goes to see the family and finds out exactly why the ghost wants his murder solved. A very quick read and a very enjoyable read.
