Del and Mariah have an interesting meet cute that was essentially not taken seriously and done on a whim. They both sign up for an intimate photo shoot between strangers. 

The caveat is that it is one and done, never to contact each other afterwards. This part was odd to me, but we move on. 

Not expecting much when they meet, their attraction is overwhelming, but they also know to make the most of it with the “limited” time they had. 

After the shoot, we get some dub con that veers darkly, but we also get the mystery of Del and his actions. 

For a short book, Lauren Biel does pack in quite a lot. I did find the black moment kind of underwhelming and it did take me out of it a bit. Still, a good read though.

Such a sweet stalker romance. Love how imperfectly perfect the mmc is and how bold the fmc is in saying what she wants. One of my top March 24 reads

Even though I set this up, even though I consented to all of it, my body doesn’t seem to understand the lack of risk. My brain knows we’re okay, but my body reacts in a panic. Run, escape, and avoid getting fucked, no matter how much you want to be fucked. That’s what my body screams to my brain.

Not as dark as her other books but no less enjoyable. You want stalker, insta lust, cnc, playing out fantasies, touch her and die vibes then this is the novella for you.
