Maybe I was expecting more or maybe I’ve just become one of the boring adults featured in the story.
Not quite what I expected but it was good nonetheless. It explores themes like the minds of children and what really matters in the world in a creative, children's book esc, almost poetic manner. But it isn't really a kids book. It's short and sweet and worth rereading. Next time I'll try the translation by Katherine Woods.

[ Beautiful ] There's something about books that are written so vividly that they draw readers of all ages and even make adults think in a profound and reminiscent way. In a world that is slowly losing its colors, The Little Prince is always in our hearts, reminding us of who we once were, or rather, who we really are. Despite being published nearly a century ago, the central plot of The Little Prince is so timeless that it can still be applied to our everyday lives as adults.

This was an odd little book I rather came to like. It's quite strange, but certain lines hit me, things people tend to forget over time. It's the chance to remember kind of what it's like to be a little kid again.

... es tan misterioso el país de las lágrimas"
No quiero pecar de pesada en esta, pero déjenme un poquito. Es un libro lindo, tierno. Me gustan los libros que te reconectan con la lectura infantil, y que a la vez podes releer de adulto dándole un nuevo significado. Peeeeero... y acá me funan: es un libro con conclusioens para gente que en su vida, no se ha replanteado nada. ¿Conocés ese meme de: 'los hombres se dan cuenta a los 25 años de algo que las mujeres ya sobrepensaron a los 13 en su habitación'? bueno, este libro se siente así.
Entiendo su éxito, porque es un libro simple y lindo. Creo que el problema está en las conclusiones metafóricas, que justamente son eso: conclusiones. No da espacio al lector para pensar, para filosofar, para replantearse algo. Te va dejando factos sobre cómo es la vida, en lugar de permitirle al lector leer entre líneas y sacar sus propias deducciones. Es un libro llano. Un clásico en fin. Tierno, lindo, cortito.
