I want to first say that I did enjoy this book overall. That said…there was no heist in this book and I am sad about it. Yes, there was a lot of con-artistry, but an actual heist was nowhere to be seen despite the blurb’s promise of a heist gone wrong. I will say that for as short a book as this was, there was a lot going on. Flashbacks, multiple cons, a not super clear timeline of events, and more. Despite all of that, I still did enjoy this story. I did think it was more about the human condition versus the cons being pulled and appreciated the moral battles that Lucky went through during the course of the story. It was also nice to see how Lucky came to be where she was in the present  and how her relationships developed through the flashbacks.

This book was pretty good, but it had a lot of potential to be better though. I cannot pinpoint what I didn't like, I just lost interest around halfway through when the hijinks kept getting wilder. I can absolutely see this book being adapted for TV thought. As I read it, I could see it come alive on the screen. I look forward to the show being aired.
