Why did I not read this fabulous series sooner? It is a wonderfully, original story with a base in fairytale. I encourage you to pick this up today!
It was okay. The world is interesting, for sure. I just couldn't really connect with any of the characters. I will continue on with the series though, as I do love Marissa's writing and I am interested to see what happens next.
Unique and believable. It is a fun twist on the fairytale Cinderella without the cloying sweetness and a sharp mechanical edge.

I started this book at the beginning of summer and struggled to get into it. It’s well written. The characters and setting offer interesting spins on the classic fairy tale. I’m glad I came back to it because, after the much needed pause, the story pulled me in. It’s all in the timing!
