Enjoyed the stories, felt they captured Peter Capaldi's Doctor very well. But the artwork put me off and distracted me. I felt the characters didn't really looks like Capaldi and Coleman, or not enough for me to feel I was actually reading about them.

It helps to have Clara with the Twelfth Doctor instead of some random new companion.

This is a fun romp through two Dr. Who episodes, one episode involves sentient sun creatures, the other episode involves time and India. Was it perfect? No, but for the discerning Whovian, this was a fun romp with the doctor. The characterizations were pretty good. Peter Capaldi's Doctor is done rather well, you get the gruffness and snark. Clara is whiny and snarky as usual. The artwork for the two stories was decent although I think the quality fell off sharply at the end of the first story. There are plenty of the usual one-liners that add just enough of cheek to know that you are, in fact, in an episode of Dr. Who.
Overall this was a fun read and I recommend it. Plus, next to David Tennant, Peter Capaldi is my favorite doctor so it was fun to see him in this format. Check it out.

Two separate twelfth doctor & Clara stories. I kind of felt that the first story was going to continue in the second half but it didn't. I can only assume that the baddie will pop up in another story later on.

I usually like Clara (altho her relationship with 12 is a bit odd) but she would not shut up in this graphic novel. Maybe I like her better in physical form? The witty, snarky banter just gets annoying after awhile. Do they really have to have a smart remark for everything?

Well, Clara is just as obnoxious in comic form as well. Oh well. Also the faces of Twelve and Clara felt a bit wonky a lot of the time. Nice stories though.

I am no expert in comics but I really enjoyed reading this first volume. The stories were interesting, the drawings incredibly well done. Characters were on point, it was sweet and thrilling!
