So for this I got the book for the great pictures and read 1/4 of it before realizing that I would enjoy it much more when read by the author. Audiobook was great - so glad that's how I "read" it

3.5 Stars - This is the perfect time to read this memoir. Almost every show and reunion performance of Monty Python mentioned is now available on Netflix. In fact I’m writing this review while watching the documentary about their final performance in London in 2014. The first flying circus episode aired 49 years ago and it is still hysterical in 2018. This book was full of stories told through Eric Idles eyes of how they met, interacted and rose to celebrity status. If you have ever even giggled at Monty python check this book out!

A mellow recollection of celebrity and history without much reflection or insight. Feels like only the opening chapters were edited to have jokes as the latter 75% is a slog.
