Hilarious not-quite-autobiography read by the man himself that provided a high-level insight into the creation and career of the Pythons.
emotional funny hopeful lighthearted reflective medium-paced

Probably would be better for a bigger Python fan. Still interesting as I like celebrity memoirs.

Python. Name dropping. Photos.

Story: This is Eric Idle's autobiography, from childhood to the present (2018).

Language: This book contains lots of Idle humor, including the crude and foul language bits. It also contains a heck of a lot of celebrity name dropping.

Characters: Pythons, family, Beatles, US comedians and actors and actresses, and so on.

The book is what it says on the tin and is a good insight for the lesser known projects for readers. But for me, I tired of the name dropping from the start, and when the whole book became mostly a list of names, I felt like the book became insincere and that we never get to see the real Eric idle, behind the mask of comedy.

pythons rock, didnt know they hung around withe beatles so much, nice to see how they started and their trips to germany are amazing

Really quick, rather enjoyable read. It's just a straight run through his life is chronological order but with a lot of fun, interesting stories.

Some things in life are bad... Not this book. Utterly charming, beautifully written. Great account from the best python.

Eric Idle wrote one song and made a fortune off it. And he knew a lot of cool and famous people, name drop, name drop, etc. And he was in this little group and did pretty well for himself. Don't believe me? Seek out The Rutles on YouTube.

One of my favorite books I’ve read, being a huge Month Python fan, and Beatles fan I throughly enjoyed this read. Full of fun stories, emotional sections and over just an easy and great read. Thank you Eric!
