A bit short...and i had actually thought that it would focus less on Palestine, and more on the general democratic problems of our society, unlimited growth etc. However a thoughtprovoking text to some degree.

Schade, habe mir viel erhofft.

We are at a threshold between the horrors of the first decade and opportunities in the following decades.

An insightful essay that elicits hope and demands non-violent action on behalf of the readers. We cannot argue that we are about to cross an important threshold in terms of government and in terms of humanity as a whole; the only real question that we should be conscious of is: "Will we contribute and fight for the rights and liberation of ALL people? Or, will we continue to oppress other nations and profit from war?"

We are about to experience one of the most important moments in history, and I am excited to be alive to witness it in person.

Instead of reviewing it myself, I'd like to insert here a quote,

More than a document worth reading, it is an attitude worth adopting.

Wise words of a man fighting injustice all of his life. It is a small but well written book and I think it should be obligatory in school to read it.

Stephane Hessel is a French Diplomat who fought in the Resistance in the Second World War as the Nazism outraged him. He never lost his outrage as in his point of view human rights are universal and even though many totalitarian Regimes had been abolished there is still too much injustice (and maybe even more as it is not so clear any more who does them) in this world.

With 93 years of age he inspires young people to not be indifferent which to him is the worst attitude possible. He says that hope and non-violence inspires and achieves much more than desperation and violence.

A must-read!
