Very cute. If you like Love Simon and reading about the queer Asian Diaspora Experience without The Traumas™️ like homophobia and emotional neglect this is for you (or the teen in your life).

I absolutely adore this book. Really, I love this book.
After reading a thriller book, I wanted a cozy, sweet and cute romance book, and now I found it. This is actually a 6★ read for me. This will be my all time favourite book. If there is any other books written by this author, I want to read them.
I don't know how to say goodbye to the characters. Theo and Dylan, their love is so cute. Theo is a gentleman. There are glimpses of such a great moments between Theo and Dylan. There are some incidents that tells us how loyal and loving Theo is to Dylan.
And also the other characters, Aunt Jade, Megan, Tim, Clover (their adorable little dog), Bernard, Terri. All of these characters are my favourites. There are some characters that are Hateable.
The story is so interesting. There are so many things that describes cooking, about chinese culuture and stories and so many interesting things too.
I loved this book. And I can't get this book out of my head. Theo and Dylan will live in my heart forever.
While reading this book, it felt home to me. I thought of myself as a part of their family.
I looooovvvveeee thisss book ❤️❤️

While this did have a quicker pace than I was expecting I really liked how things played out in this book.  The plot and characters balanced each other out nicely.

Dylan’s whole entire family were so adorable. The wholesome friendships, sense of family, and love for their passions, this book had so many cute moments.  It’s lighthearted but had its angsty moments here and there.

This book is perfect when you are in need of a light and fluffy read. It's filled with funny scenes, soft moments and deals with healing from grief in such a wonderful way. It sure helped me focus on the beautiful memories of lost loved ones instead of only the pain that comes along with grief.
It was also interesting to read more about parts of Chinese and specifically Singaporean culture.

AHHH. I loved it! I think it was such a cute and heartwarming story. I loved Dylan and his motivations and immediately loved him and Theo together. The slow burn was real and then tension between them was !!!
I loved the conflicts and how both Dylan and Theo had to resolve issues, instead of it just being a one sided conflict. It really makes the story more realistic and interesting.
Honestly i’m sure there are flaws im forgetting to bring up, but the book just made me happy! I looked forward to reading it and it left me feeling cozy and giggly and that’s what really matters! My only wish was that it was longer, I wanted to stay with the characters more.
My favorite quote:
“You didn’t give me a fraction of what I have, Dylan.” His voice cracks a little. “You gave me a whole missing piece.”

4.5⭐️
It was very sweet and cute, at some moments I even laughed out loud💕

Made me smile, laugh, cry and look at the non existence camera in my room with a shocked expression
I’m a sucker for cute familial relationships an this was a 10/10 on that scale
Only reason it’s not a 5⭐️ is because I wish it was longer. The start felt rushed and I wish we saw the characters become friends before they started fake dating.
I found it a bit odd how the characters saw each other like one time and then went to a wedding as fake boyfriends😐
Idk man that just made me annoyed but the rest of the story made up for it🤭
