A tender exploration of suicide, life, and what it means to be human. At times sad, this book largely offers new perspectives on how people cope and perceive various struggles. A memorable read.

“If you're lucky, people will love you in the way they know how. And if you're really lucky, the love they can give will be the love you need.”

this book caught my eye for no reason while browsing Barnes & Noble a few months ago and thought it looked really interesting but i didn't end up buying it. Flash forward to a week ago and I saw it again and decided to get it after reading the first chapter. The way it started out just hooked me and seemed like a book I could use at the moment. Did I eat it up in days and couldn't put it down? No. There were definitely points where I was sick of reading and just wanted to be done cuz i got bored. But I'm so glad I read this book, and I think it's gonna keep me reflecting for the next few moments of life. I definitely recommend this to anyone lost in life, or just feeling empty and gone. It's also a really cool thought experiment on what happens after death, and what about life is "worth it" if it even is or if it even has to be.

I picked this book at random off the bookshelf at the library. I had no idea what it was about.
I can say it several times went in a direction that I was not expecting.

I did enjoy it!
