I did not like this book. It's very confusing that Bardugo wrote shadow and bone and all of those books, because this one is not at the same level. This one is completely different.
The only thing I liked, was a short paragraph where Daisy (? I'm not even sure that's her name) spooked everyone by being inside/taking over another person. That was a fun revelation. Everything else is trash and i don't recommend this to anyone !

It's a 4 for me because of the incredibly slow build. It was hard to keep interest to get through it which for 450 pages is a shame. But I liked the build about 60% through it. The story really picked up and the cliffhanger did leave me wanting to read the second book. I don't have high hopes the 2nd will keep a good pace of growth but I do have some hope.

5⭐️ This book was sooo good! I can’t wait to read book two! I have to say it was really confusing in the beginning. I had to read the first few chapters 3 times to grasp what was going on. So so worth it!!!!
