Well, that is a thing that happened. 😂
Really not sure what to say here - it was certainly quirky and weird and technically fantasy and somewhat amusing at times. It's a really cool idea and the concept does make me sit back and really think about it, what it could be like if people aged backwards (imagine having youth WITH life experience/wisdom!).
But it was also just weird in a mostly not-good way. 😂 All the characters are like irrationally cruel/irritated by each other's existence, the descriptions of his wife as he de-ages are so terrible (technically allllmost understandable once he is super young, but mostly it just comes off Terrible and ick), and somehow his *brain* and knowledge of life also *starts* as an old man when he's born (comes out, somehow, adult sized, fully talking and smoking cigars when he's hours old) but ends as a baby? .......suuuuure, k??? 🤷♀️😂
Tbh, the movie did a *great* job with this concept, farrrr better than the book that inspired it. Even being a fantastical crazy tale still, it found a way to make it work instead of just being..... weird. 😂
Cool idea, thanks for being famous, but uh. Ya.
