Struggled with the format to begin with as not used to such laid back dialogue but once I got into it, it was so good!! So refreshing to read a story with a happy ending and no one dying as the plotline. A light-hearted wonderful read.

Movie much better then book. Book written in diary entries so found it hard to read. Also notice the silliness and immorality in the book a lot more than in the movie.

I watched the movie many years ago and I remember enjoying it. But I guess what my college self didn’t realize was how self obsessed Bridget is. Honestly, it was pretty disturbing to read about how she thought about herself and her weight. She’s what I don’t want to be. I’m giving .5 points for Mark Darcy being a king and saving her mother from prison?!

This is one of the first cases where the movie ruined the book for me (usually the other way around). Nevertheless an easy nighttime read - nothing you have to be overly committed to or keep up with.
