2.5 stars...maybe?

So I think I'll stick with the movies.

Within the book, the character of Bridget Jones is a bit too much for me. She's too overly-critical, too whiney, and too eccentric. Not to say that isn't a good thing in a character, but for me it was just too much in one book. (Drinking game...let's see how many times Jaymie can throw in the word "too") Idk, I guess I enjoyed her character more on the screen because we weren't getting every single thought she ever had during our time spent with her. I couldn't handle all of the "VG's" and "Oh a phone call" moments in her diary. I don't need all that detail.

And we barely get any Mark Darcey. Which was no fun at all.

Unbelievably bad. Far worse than the movie. Her obsession with weight: sick.

I didn't hate it, but if I wanted to hear about girl problems, I just talk to all my friends. It wasn't deep or profound, or really very special.
This was a cute book, I guess. Being someone who already dislikes girl problems, this was more torture than amusement.

Mark Darcy is the standard

What a slog.

Entertaining and funny. The concept is completely hilarious and the author does a really good job of bringing out each of the character's unique personalities.
