Thrilling? Check. Crazy? Check, So gruesome I almost had to put the book down? Check, Check, Check.

Plague is the 4th installment of the Gone series by Michael Grant, and in all honesty here, Plague is one of the best books (so far) in the series. While all the other books were great and intriguing, Plague took the cake for being the most gruesome and action-filled book. It was a turning stone for the series, and a promise that the next few books were going to be a sequence of terror, survival, and fear.

‘’So this is how you destroy us…This is how you kill us off. The old-fashioned way: plague.”

All 526 pages of Plague were led by various characters, and it finally felt like the true colours of the characters were coming to light. Especially one character, oh my GOSH I was left open-mouthed and in utter shock. It was enjoyable to have the mystery element resurface after everything went to complete (poo emoji).

“You know, I’m kind of disappointed… Situation like this? Sam would come up with a plan.”

Plague didn’t disappoint, a word that is seemingly never associated with Michael Grant’s pieces.
