Well written.
Compelling characters whose flaws are what drives the plot forward.
Also extremely disturbing and hard to get through due to the brutality of the main character thoughts.

INSANE book, literally so wild. Such an intelligent insight into patriarchy, class, and violence. Great example of how books can be very much about women without having many women in them. I can see myself coming back to this book for years and years.

this is a slow, excruciating burner with an explosion at the end.
I gave it 2 stars only because I couldn't like the characters at all and they just live a very miserable life with no signs of hope. Also the ending is a bit traumatizing.
