A beautifully writen tragic story about mental health and sexism. Learning that it was written about the author's own experience made it more powerful. 

I think I was expecting something more intense/ dramatic to happen at the end.

A terrifying and eye opening look at how postpartum depression was treated in the past. A quick read that keeps you turning pages and an ending that will make you look up the author to make sure she was okay after this semi autobiographical work.
