Tropes: Age Gap, Enemies to Lovers, Father's Best Friend
This is the second book I've read from this author, and they are quickly becoming one of my favorites. The relationship between Janie and Fox was something I was rooting for from the beginning. Even when they were still at the enemies stage.
Janie is an influencer and the daughter of Tony, the former owner of Hel's Ink. Fox, Tony's best friend, cannot stand Janie. Fox is thrown for a loop in which Janie will spend a year working at Hel's Ink. The development of the relationship between Janie & Fox had me devouring this book in one sitting.
If you are a fan of Age Gap and Enemies to Lovers, I cannot recommend this book enough.

Oh my word! I couldn’t put this book down! This is the first book in the Hel’s Ink series and its the story of Janie and Fox. This is an age gap romance with plenty of ups & downs. I was so enthralled with this book I couldn’t put it down for anything. I loved Fox the i hated him for how he was acting, then i loved him all over again. Please please read this book! This is going to be a constant re-read for sure!
I have been reading a lot of dark romance lately and this was a great "palate cleanse" if you will lol. This story was so interesting as it brings a lot of light to how some social media "influencers" aren't just their social media presence, they are real people going through real issues. I loved the banter between the male and female main characters and Fox .....**swoon** I love a book where I can laugh my ass off one minute and the next minute be yelling at characters to get their shit together. If you like an age gap trope you will definitely love this book. There is some spice in this book, I would say a 3.5 out of 5 for spice? But the story of Janie and Fox would have been worth the read even if there wasn't any spice at all. I cannot wait to read more about Atlas and I am hoping Ren :) I would definitely read from this author again!
I really enjoyed this book. The chemistry between Janie & Fox was electric. ❤️
This was an amazing story. Janie and Fox are just fire. Fox is the older person by over a decade and Janie is the daughter of Fox's late mentor and boss. They hate each other and it is interesting that trail they take from hate to love. Both feel and didn't really receive love growing up that it makes the dynamic frustrating and satisfying all the same for us. I do have a prediction on who the books are going to be based on for the rest of this series since you don't just get spice but plot in this book. This in my opinion is plot heavy but the spice is spicy that it will keep the title of spicy.
