Voor mental health reasons ga ik dit boek nooit meer lezen

This book started off really well. I was loving the characters and the whole teenage romance vibe. However, it turned into a slow burn, and even though I tried to push myself to finish it, I just couldn’t. The emotions felt exaggerated and overly explained. I kept waiting for something to happen, but it never really did.

This book destroyed me like it prepared me like half way into it but the end I couldn’t sobbed for hours after it. Like I knew it was coming yet it wasn’t easy. One of my favorite books so far. Please be prepared to get destroyed emotionally.

I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much while reading a book. I absolutely loved it.

This book was incredibly sad but also very, very sweet. I laughed, I cried (and would have cried more if I had been at home while reading), and I felt the pain and sorrow these characters experienced very vividly.

The writing was well done, the characters were lovable and endearing, the plot was heartbreaking yet impactful, and it was an overall great time.

I loved the subtle elements of faith sprinkled throughout, and the footprints in the sand story (while I've heard it plenty of times before) absolutely gave me chills and made me tear up when added to this story in particular.

I don't have too much to say because of spoilers, but this is a great choice for people who like: childhood friends to lovers, second chance romance, "I love you against all odds" stories, boy falls first, and coming of age moments. Oh, and a good cry. You've got to want to cry, or you won't want to go into this one.
