I love the friendship aspect of this one. Halley and Scarlett are awesome. And I really had high hopes for Macon. Loved this.

This book made me laugh and it made me smile as I saw a beautiful real friendship I recognized. It was smart, fun and emotional and truly, truly enjoyable.

Would have probably enjoyed as a young teen - fifteenish.

This summer I am determined to read as many Sarah Dessen books as I can, and Someone Like You was the first on my list. Also, I'm bringing back the reviews. Sorry not sorry!

While I normally love Sarah Dessen, this one just fell short for me. It was written in 1998 so some of the language and topics are a little dated, but aside from that the story just paled in comparison to [b:Saint Anything|23009402|Saint Anything|Sarah Dessen|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1414680105l/23009402._SY75_.jpg|42576172] (which is probably my favorite Sarah Dessen book so far). Don't get me wrong, it was still relatively good and I read it very quickly, but these books definitely have gotten better over time.

Good light read. Girl figuring out what love is. Her best friend is pregnant and they are trying to survive high school.

Too teen angsty for me. I probably would have liked this when I was younger. I’m glad Halley came to her senses at the end!

Honestly this book was just very boring and entry level. I really loved Saint anything so I thought I’d read more of her stuff but it was really bland. Like it’s a book but that’s  about it.

I enjoyed the story. This is my third Sarah Dessen book and it was good. I thought the story was good, but some characters were not as developed as other characters. I enjoyed reading the different POVs in the book. I was getting to know each character better in their perspective of how they think and feel. The ending was good and it redeemed the book for me.
