An amazing book to kick off 2023! Asher is both equally bruised and broken and this shows throughout the book, playing a huge part within the plot. There are some aspects that definitely aren't for the faint of heart, so just a warning there, but I literally devoured this book and cannot wait to see what's next in the series.
Moderate: Child abuse, Injury/Injury detail, Blood, Addiction, Alcoholism, Death, Chronic illness, Death of parent, Medical content, Alcohol, Adult/minor relationship, Drug use, Drug abuse, Physical abuse, Sexual content, Domestic abuse, and Violence
Minor: Body shaming

Re reading them was everything. God the way I love with all my heart like these two are reason why I love brothers best friend . Asher, his past broke me in a way I hate it, I’m so proud of him for healing and for getting his happy ending. Briar, the way she loves, reminds me of me like she loves with her heart and she would always see the good in people no matter what.
Graphic: Death of parent, Domestic abuse, and Grief
Moderate: Drug abuse, Alcohol, Alcoholism, and Addiction
