By far my favorite Elin book!!!! Soooo different and yet easy and fun.

I can’t wait to share my full thoughts with you in my November wrap up on Youtube!
emotional funny reflective relaxing sad medium-paced
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

The ending wasnt even sad and yet here I am crying? Great book that taught me phones were NOT always on private lines!

Not quite as compelling as other Hilderbrand books I've read. I was particularly interested in this, because it was a significant year for me (high school graduation). Parts were unrelatable, mostly due to the class difference between me and the people in the story, but still an entertaining read. I appreciated Hilderbrand's note at the end, explaining her motivation in writing the story.

Solid beach read. All of the connected stories, full of romance and a little mystery, will keep you interested and give you that “summer read” feeling.

Great story. I love the different perspectives of the family members and how different the same events impact them.

I read this book while I was on the beach one summer and I really enjoyed it as a beach read!

Fun summer read!

*2 1/2 stars*

This was a decent enough read until the last few chapters. Things then became so unbelievable and cornball it kind of ruined the whole thing. Rest assured, you will get a happily ever after ending whether you want one or not.
