I've never read a Dean Koontz that I didn't like. Werewolves? Sort of. Genetically-modified humans...who devolve? Awesome. Computers-melding-with-humans? Highly disturbing. Great book.

I hate how white men villainize indigenous people and culture and weaponize sexual violence against women. So creepy and racist and sexist. V unnecessary.

Not sure how I feel about this one yet. Story was okay. There were several moments that I enjoyed... the descriptions of of the people changing were fun & easy to picture. For some reason though, I was having trouble keeping all of the characters straight. I also found the ending to be too sappy for a horror novel. I get going through a traumatic experience can make a person take stock and reassess their life, but... it was still a bit much for me.
