This was so sweet and fluffy. It literally read like a modern-day AU get-together fluff fic of your fave characters. If you’re looking for that vibe, pick this book up!

PJ and Momo had a great dynamic. Individually they were compelling characters; we are shown who they are and what they like instead of told (as you might expect in a graphic novel), so that they come across as multi-faceted. Because they are written like real people, their connection feels real too. There’s a lot of playfulness, which is sweet, but they also act as a solid, grounding force in one another’s lives. You can see the fondness they have for each other and why they feel this way.

PJ and Momo’s character development is tied up in each other and their romance, as the two learn how to communicate with one another and navigate their insecurities together. What I liked about the third act breakup was that they were BOTH in the wrong - they both had stuff to figure out about themselves and the other and learn.

The art style was GORGEOUS, that and the colour palette were a complete match for the sweetness of the story. Eunnie managed to keep the backgrounds clean without them becoming devoid of detail with that liminal-space vibe.

I wish we had gotten more of PG’s POV! But aside from that, and my disclaimer below, I don’t really have any critiques. The reason why the rating isn’t higher is because I didn’t feel as swept away by the story as I wanted to be.

Disclaimer: the ethnicity rep here isn’t own voices. I’m not sure of the significance of that seeing that Eunnie is of the global majority like her characters, it’s just something I wanted to flag.
