Ivy and Ketahn finally make their plan to escape. They gather their small clan and make their way into thornskull territory in the hopes of escaping Zurvashi and finally live a life of peace.

This was such a great ending to a loved series for me. It had adventure, trouble, and a beautiful end to get a happy ending. I can't wait for the new series to come out!

I would 100% recommend this series! Unless you have a fear of spiders.

This book was a huge adventure full of twists and turns and some intense moments. After the death of one of their teammates, Ketahn was imprisoned and bound. He struggled to escape, but once he got out of his bindings he recognized that another female vrix was willing to help him, which he took. Ketahn took the chance and escaped back to his camp after hearing that Ahnset took the group to a different part of the terrain away from the humans so they wouldn’t be endangered. Ketahn gathered his friends and went to kill the vrix that Ahnset was with. Saving Ahnset and moving back to their encampment, they had to gather all the humans to make their escape away from Zurvashi. However, Zurvashi would not be so easily tamed. The group went through a lot of troubles and hardships. Losing some of their supplies, almost drowning, and eventually finding out that they were being followed. After Ivy and Ketahn shared a night of passion, Ketahn quickly heard sounds that weren’t being made from animals. After quick observation, they were followed by Zurvashi’s warriors. Ketahn quickly made his way down and began to slaughter those that were a part of Zurvashi’s group. After killing them, he chased one that was attempting to escape but was stopped once he realized that the vrix was killed by something that wasn’t an animal. They ended up face-to-face with the thornskulls, who although were mad about shadowstalkers being in their lands, realized that they were trying to escape Zurvashi’s land. The thornskulls decided to help, however, Ivy and Ketahn knew that Zurvashi wasn’t too far behind and that they would end up having to fight her. Ketahn decided to face her and when the day came Ketahn began his fight, however, he was stopped because it was an act of war since he didn’t challenge her, even though he was close to killing Zurvashi. Instead, Ivy demanded the challenge which Zurvashi didn’t want to at first, but her vrix told her it was the way it was, no matter who it was. Ivy fought Zurvashi with smarts instead of blunt force, using the tools she had around her and managed to kill her by setting her on fire in a pit. With that Ivy was now queen, but instead of taking that roll, she passed the roll to Ahnset, so she could become a righteous queen and still live with her mate. Ivy and the rest of the human group decided to stay with the thornskulls, along with Ketahn and his friends. I absolutely loved this series. I couldn’t get enough of it, and I’ve already attempted to re-read the first book multiple times just because it is that good and the ending was so fitting. I loved the development between the characters and the plot of the book. If you’re looking for a good sci-fi/romance trilogy, this is your book. Unless you have a fear of spiders, then I totally understand.

What an absolutely fantastic trilogy! I came into this with pretty low expectations, but I’m honestly blown away with the storytelling in this series. 

Ivy and Ketahn have my heart. I love them both individually and together.

I will say, the middle of this book really dragged. There was probably 100+ pages straight of them walking through the Tangle, being exhausted, and Ketahn internally stressing out. It’s worth getting through though because once they reach the thornskulls it’s fanatic and engaging until the end. The climax is *chefs kiss* 

I loved every single side character (even Cole grew on me by the end). I was really connected with the characters and invested in their survival and safety.

I cannot wait until the spin-off standalone about Rekosh and Ahmya is released!

This one was definitely not as fast paced as the others, they’re literally just waking through the tangle the whole time with action at the beginning and the end. One thing that irked me though was the use of the word “tribe” when the group was mentioned and I know that can be offensive to indigenous people when talking about a group of people who are not indigenous. So trigger warning for that. I’m am satisfied with the way the story ending and after reading the author’s note, I’m glad we’re getting spin off books with the other vrix and humans.

I freaking love this book! And it is the perfect end for this incredible trilogy.
Tiffany Roberts has once again proved that it is possible to make a sequel that is better than the previous one without feeling repetitive or unoriginal. At the same time, she has managed to end Ivy and Ketahn's story beautifully with the promise of more to come shortly.
In conclusion, excellent storytelling is accompanied by an original and creative world, a perfect amount of spice at the right moments and lovable characters with ideal chemistry.
