I enjoyed reading this book. I liked the different characters and at first at least found them engaging, even when she seemed to take off from the original story and as a reader I was never sure where we were going next.
However, I was a little saddened by the fact that when we finally came back to Reyna, her motivations were completely obscure...it's like the "changing" she had done, the growing as a person, had all happened off-stage, while we were following other characters, and I couldn't quite believe the plot developments at the end because there was nothing in the book to explain why Reyna was making the particularly key choice to the unfolding of the book.
