J’ai eu quelques moments d’inattention au cours de ma lecture qui me faisaient un peu lâcher l’histoire mais dès que je retournais dedans j’adorais ce que je lisais en particulier la fin qui a bien capté mon attention et le parallèle avec Lettre d’une inconnue que j’ai beaucoup apprécié. Il faudrait peut être que je me fasse une relecture pour l’apprécier pleinement.

Mrs. C. is really brave women and it takes courage to tell a story like that, if anyone really going through it. And that man is real filth! He's practicaly insult her being whore, then rape her even she couldn't explane herself, take her money and promise her to not do it again, and againg insulted her infront of everyone and then dump her like a trash and she doesn't deserve any of that.
And then it's all like he's the MAN he can do what ever he wants but nobody can cross hşm, right? because he's such a Man!! Always blame the women. stupidest rule ever!!

التجربة كانت مميزة جدا، هذا أول عمل للكاتب و حتما لن يكون الأخير، فبالرغم من قصر الكتاب إلا أنه استطاع أن ينقل إليك جميع احاسيس و أفكار الكاتب عبر بطلته.
تبدأ الأحداث بنقاش لمجموعة من الأصدقاء حول حدث آثار حفيظتهم، و استفزهم جميعا، على اعتبار أن هروب أي سيدة متزوجة و أم مع شخص يافع لم تعرفه إلا خلال يوم و ليلة أمر مستفز فعلا، غير أن الدفاع المستميت الراوي عن سيدتنا الهاربة ، جعل السيدة-س- تعجب به و تقرر أن تحكي له حكايتها.
السيدة (س)، امرأة ستينية نبيلة، من عائلة عريقة، ذات حظوة لدى أصدقائها و معارفها، قررت أن تكشف الجانب الخفي في ماضيها لصديقنا الراوي، وكيف أن أربع و عشرون ساعة كافية لأن يعيش الإنسان أهم و أقوى لحظات العمر، و لأن يتعلم الدرس المستفاد من هذه الحياة.
بعد انتهاء قراءتي للرواية، لم أتعجب عندما علمت أن زفايغ مات منتحرا.
