There are three short stories included in this Mini Modern Classic: Children On Their Birthdays, A Christmas Memory, and A Tree of Night. Children On Their Birthdays is entertaining but not that interesting. Although something that made it better was that I forgot that in the beginning Miss Bobbit's death is mentioned, so when I got to the end it was abrubt and shocking. I didn't read A Christmas Memory because I have already read that, as it is a part of the edition of Breakfast At Tiffany's I have. A Tree of Night I really like! First of all I like the language and the descriptive words and phrases Capote writes. Second, I love the aspect of observing. There's lots of imagery included which really makes the setting of being on a train come to life. Third, it is a story about people, and although not much information is included about who the characters are it is interesting. This story was also very fast paced for me, especially compared to Children On Their Birthdays.

Really like Capote's style, and I had already read one of the stories before and loved it. Very talented short story writer.
