About as good a version of this book as we are likely to get. I am so glad so many people were willing to talk considering the bad times they've had with reality TV. If I could think of one flaw it's just that the author hints at really interesting thoughts about reality TV's influence on our reality, but never fully goes deep on that particular subject - perhaps that's for another book. I read this in like 3 days though so I really loved it

Emily Nussbaum is a genius. I watch no reality TV but was totally enthralled and fascinated. The final chapter is particularly terrifying. Heaven help us all.

Interesting and comprehensive review of reality TV. I didn't realize how far back its roots go. For me, this was longer than my interest in the subject, but that's not to say the book is too in-depth. I just misjudged my own interest. The section on The Apprentice was certainly fascinating, especially as it is written in full knowledge of the election of Donald Trump.
