I loved this so much. Loved hearing about the history of reality tv and as a pop culture junky this was right up my alley!

Overall an interesting history lesson in reality tv. As far as reading, it was a lot of names. I listened to some and read some of it. I preferred the audiobook.

This was an interesting, in-depth look into the creation of reality TV. I grew up watching the early seasons of Survivor, Amazing Race, Big Brother, American Idol, and many more. The chapter about Survivor was wild and puts into perspective how crazy the show’s concept was in the beginning (and has since been normalized).

Though I did learn about other lesser known series and people who created the genre, it was dense and sometimes repetitive. I think the content may have been better served for a documentary given the visual medium.
