This book was way too similar to Caraval with a dash of kingdom of the wicked and a dark window for me to enjoy. It was not that bad, just way too similar...

I guess that if you liked Caraval and want a more spicy version, with some kind of gothic vibes and demons and more spice then you should go for it.

I cannot believe that I had to endure Scarlet and Tella all over again ffs.

This wasn't for me, but I enjoyed the trials and their relationship to the rings of hell.

Nah because it started off real nice but then fell apart with messy writing. Like how the main characters have a timelimit on finding an important piece of the whole puzzle but instead of doing some real searching and investigation they're just fainting and banging all over the god damn place.
