If you love a slow burn this book is for you.
I don’t but I got through it.
The storyline was pretty good & the interior art is gorgeous.

I’d rate it 3.5 stars, it’s good and has its page turning moments but parts of it could have been built out better/developed more.
This book wasn't super exciting for me, it's was just okay. Detective Novak is investigating the disappearance of Saskia, a wife and mother. The whole book is mostly a conversation between him and Angela, Saskia's husband's ex. She is being held on suspicion of being involved with the disappearance. During the interrogation she retells her whole story for the detective.
It's a quick read because it's told conversationally (which I liked), but I didn't like the characters (any of them!). There is also some believability issues and the ending just didn't cut it for me.

OUR LITTLE SECRET by Roz Nay is one of those novels that just flew by for me. While it's a short and quick read, I still devoured it in two sittings because I was just dying to know what was going on. I loved the way that Roz Nay wrote this story, all told from the perspective of one character. Our narrator is not only ballsy and tough, but extremely unreliable. I could not get enough of this one. I loved how Nay spent no time wasted by giving us a story that travels over ten years between Angela and HP.
Starting off light with an air of mystery, the pacing and grittiness of this novel increases as we travel along a storyline that is not for the faint of the heart. What quickly goes from a cute story about teenage love turns into a deadly game of cat and mouse, full of surprises and a shocking finale. I absolutely loved the way that Angela portrayed these characters through telling Detective Novak this story through her perspective, because I wondered if that's how things really played out or not. What if these people aren't even like how she's describing them? What if she is really innocent? What if she's extremely guilty? What if the world is against her? Would I trust the people she's trusting if I were in her position? These are just a few questions I asked myself during this read and not only did Roz Nay create even more, but all of my questions were answered by the final page....and my jaw was left hanging.

I love a diabolical women hell bent for revenge as much as the next person, but while the main character, Little John/Angela is grossly unlikable, she is mainly just sad.
The book opens up with Angela at the police station being questioned in the disappearance of a woman name Saskia, who happens to be Angela’s ex boyfriends wife. Angela insists on telling the detective her story and starts at the beginning when she met her ex HP more than a decade ago in Cove Vermont. They met and became friends in high school and fell in love, everything was amazing until he met Saskia. Angela claims she has nothing to do with the disappearance. As she tells more and more of her story Detective Novak begins to see a twisted tale of love and obsession that’s headed down a trail of revenge. The more Angela toys with the detective the more he begins to see a woman that has never let go of the past and that has many secrets, dark twisted secrets and he’s determined to uncover what happened to this poor woman and he just has to wait for Angela to finish telling her story... wow I was glued to the pages I was sneaking in pages any chance that I got. The way Angela told her story had me at times feeling sorry and other times I wanted to smack her! I give this four stars!
I think this was a fairly good book, kind of a thriller but not as intense as I'd hoped. The love triangle between LJ, HP and Saskia was pretty messy and I really enjoyed it. You really feel sorry for lots of the characters and really gets you thinking. I also felt dislike for many of the same characters.
I did like the narrative of LJ telling the whole story in the time she was in the interrogation room.
