I love a good unreliable narrator. Quick, engaging read from the start. I wish it had ended a little differently, but still really enjoyed this!

Well hot damn!! That was fun!!

You can’t see me but I’m bowing to Roz Nay. I have never read a mystery like that in all my days and I want to read a million more. Seriously, the way this story is laid out is so unique!

The book starts and we know someone is missing. Enter main character, Angela, at the beginning of a full on police interrogation. Sounds like something we’ve read a million times yes? But then!!...

Angela starts playing this wicked cat and mouse game with the detective and we get to see an entire history unfold. Angela takes us back to the beginning and we buy into her teenage love story and angsty young adult romance, and grip onto her heartbreak as her world comes crashing down around her. What we thought we knew of characters turns out to all be a sham and our loyalties are tested.

All this while leading up to a phenomenal finale that will have you questioning what the bejeezus just happened! And the crazy thing is?? I don’t actually know the truth and I don’t care. THIS BOOK WAS GREAT!! What a trip!!

3.5 Stars. This story was interesting...I don’t know that it was much of a thriller, or psychological thriller. It had a bit of suspense to it (what happened? And who did it?) but I wasn’t on the edge of my seat. It was ok for me.

Raamat oli iseenesest väga põnev, kuid kippus venima, samas loo lahendususest oleks oodanud rohkemat. Siiski väga kvaliteetne ajaviide!

Overall, it’s an interesting read. It’s hard to get a take on the narrator of the story, which leads to uncertain speculation. It’s not suspenseful through the whole book, as most of it is reflection on the past.

What happened to Saskia? This is the question that Detective Novak puts to Angela and Saskia's husband. Through Angela's story we go to when Angela meets Saskia to what happened to her. Angela claims she had nothing to do with it and it's up to Detective Novak to unravel all the secrets the three held tight to them.

I wasn't really expecting to like this one as I disliked all the characters, and after a slew of horrible psychological thrillers/suspense I thought this was another meh book. I apologize, Roz as this book had me out on the deck till I finished the book. While I disliked Angela, and Saskia even more, I was invested to see what would happen and where it will go. It was well-written and realistic. I cannot wait till the next book.

Meh. Probably less than meh. BUT! I think this is #50 for the year.

The plot of this book is like a rollercoaster. It goes in one direction for a while, then goes a different direction, and then somewhere completely out of nowhere. Then the ending - whew! I was shocked.

This is a new to my author, and I’ll definitely be reading more! Our Little Secret is a great mystery/suspense!
