Life is too short not to snatch a Colleen Hoover fix whenever you can. Saint most certainly did not disappoint. Steamy but creepy. The foundation of any good romance. I enjoyed it alot.
Unfortunately not all of the stories in the anthology were as enjoyable. Some I skipped, some I read but did not enjoy.
I felt that some authors struggled to find balance in such a short number of pages. Either they tried to fit a whole story into limited pages making everything too instalove, or they picked up mid story but then gave so much backstory that the current plot was suffocated. Many used this anthology to get a leg up on another book or series which did not help.
I'm not going to review them individually, especially as I skipped through some, but some were pretty bad. I can't remember which it was that referred to breasts as "fun bags". That one definitely lost me.
I felt that there should have been fewer authors to allow more time to develop the characters and plots.
The whole premise of the anthology was really interesting. A show of how different authors are even with the same starting point.

This anthology rocked my world. It reminded me of being in middle school and my English teacher making us take out a piece of paper and write one sentence on it and then pass it forward. All the other kids had to write a new sentence under it that made sense to the story being written. I remember loving doing that exercise and all the different stories that came out of it. This anthology is just like that because each author has the same sentence to start with and every single one took it in an unique direction. There were no two that were alike and I loved the creativity. I love anthologies because they introduce me to new authors and genres that I normally wouldn't read and with this one all proceeds go to charity so its a win win.
There are 24 different stories in this book. Some are full length short stories and others read like they are in the middle of a book or prequels. They included all genres of romance and I was surprised that a lot of the ones I liked were in genres I never read like Fantasy. There were a few stories I just didn't care for but because everything is short they were easy to read and I never skipped any. I was surprised though at how many spelling and grammar issues this book had. Not every story had issues though so it was obvious only the individual authors proofread their stories so having an editor for the entire anthology probably should have been considered but nothing detracted me enough to lower my rating.
My favorites of this were:
A Meet Cute and other Natural Disasters by Emma Scott
*Story about how a couple met and fell in love. It was adorable! and funny!
First Flight by Jessica Sorensen
*Fantasy about a death angel who needs to fly so she can pass her flying test and go to college with her best friend but is afraid of falling.
The Ex Dynamic S.M. Toto
*Hockey romance about a woman being the new PT for her ex's hockey team and the hijinks that follows. This read like a prequel and had me thinking it may turn into a full length book and I would buy it!
Hail Mary By JB Salsbury
*Coach's daughter football player romance that is actually a full length book that I bought and LOVED
Whatever It Takes By Gianna Gabriela
*Story about an enemies to lovers romance that turns into more after a day on the lake. This read like there would be a book coming out soon and I really hope so because I loved it.
Interception By Santana Blair
*This story reminded me of the book The Deal By Elle Kennedy because after Kenadi gets accidentally pushed into a pool, Cash tries to make it up to her by helping her get her longtime crush Caleb's attention but things don't go as planned. This is also an interracial dating story and I loved it.
Leap Of Faith By Jaci Wheeler
*This story made me cry and its best I leave it at that to not ruin it for others.
Kess By Tijan
*MC romance about a guy who is hired to watch over Kess for a year at her high school
Saint By Colleen Hoover
*This one was my favorite and incredibly disturbing. A writer is having a mental block trying to write a story about a love triangle and goes to the cabin she always goes to, to finish her book. Obviously things don't go as planned! This story made me remember why I love this author so much!

This was truly an emotional rollercoaster for me! "That moment when you finish a book, look around and realize that everyone is just carrying on with their lives as though you didn't just experience emotional trauma at the hands of a paperback" this quote resonated with me so much for the very first time!

Great reaon to support this vook.
I love anthologies. Especially, when they are done in a way that hlps support charties in need. This one had a little something for everyone. Enjoy the ride.

I read all of these short stories beginning with the same phrase and I adore the fact that they all too such different directions. Bravo to the authors for coming up with such fantastic stories.
This book needs serious editing. Not to mention that so many of the short stories are predictable or try and cover too much ground for a SHORT story. I don’t need a whoke history of a relationship in 5 chapters. It’s too much. The last three stories were really fun to read; I wish there were more up to that standard in this anthology.
Thank you to The Bookworm Box for this!! There were so many stories I loved (and just want more of)!! And I definitely found authors I didn’t previously know about.
