Once Upon a Time in the Kitchen: Recipes and Tales from Classic Children's Stories by Carol Odell

This is a really excellent little book! It's got a short introduction to various classic stories, along with a recipe for each that a child (with supervision and help from an adult) might be interested in trying out (and eating up).
I could see this being a really nice "Mommy and Me" or "Daddy and Me" idea - read the book together, then try out the recipe. It could also be a really interesting passive programming idea for the Children's department at a public library - a handout each month, with a story introduction and a recipe for kids and their parents to try together, sounds like a nifty idea! I'll probably check out this book again next year, after the holidays, and try it out with Swicky.
